I CAN grow more than frozen vegetables!

My astutely wise godfather on the ranch back home in the Rocky Mountains joked with me as I poured hours of sweat and work into my humble Colorado garden reminding me that "all you can do is grown frozen vegetables in this country." We've laughed over and over about that wise cowboys knowledge. My connection to the land began as a Colorado girl roaming the woods in logging camps, raking hay in the high glacial valleys of beautiful #NorthPark and being educated in the finest agriculture education/FFA program #FFA I'll always feel happiest with dirt under my nails and sweat dripping from my back, with the payback coming from enjoying the fruits of my labors.
Alas, I moved to the beautiful PNW and have found a paradise to grow in with plenty of moisture and warm weather that offers me FOUR seasons! What started as a backyard project to feed my soul and fulfill my yearning to play in the dirt has turned into a growing obsession to share what I'm learning. CELEBRATE the joys and triumphs I've had in moving to the PNW and connecting to the land.
A teaching colleague told me I should teach some gardening classes and share what I know.... right now I can't find the time, but I CAN share through my own little blog. As a photographer, writer and garden enthusiast, this is my platform and for planting seeds of knowledge with my fellow garden cohorts and a space to collab and share.

#SprucenHoney is my little nickname a an exciting venture for me that will begin with a blog and social media collab, but the plans to grow are exciting and abundant. I look forward to sharing our farm here at Osprey Knoll. Join me in this journey as I share, learn and grow with you!
